The plot of Kindergarten Veturi is located at the end of the park network that begins at the Town hall in the centre of Tikkurila. The central area is being dramatically renewed, but still revolves around a green, sparse, suburban and layered construction where the varying scale stands out. The planning of the building was part of the development project ordered by Vantaa city. In the project they sought after standard normal and cost-effective solutions as tools for the realisation of pedagogical and spacious kindergartens.

The Kindergarten can fit 192 children, of which some are part of a special group of severely disabled children. The high hall, dining area and courtyard form the heart of the Kindergarten and are surrounded by the modifiable home areas for children in different ages. The facade of the building is veiled with ceramic planks in varying shades of white, while the coated walls behind the balconies and the steel covers that protect against bad weather are both coloured with yellow and green accent colours.

The project got its building permit in June 2019 and the construction began during the summer.
